Dr. Frank E. Schmidt, Jr.
Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgeon
Schmidt joins us most recently from St. Francis in Tulsa where he served as Medical Director for the Warren Cardiothoracic and Vascular Institute. He was instrumental in initiating several programs including: multidisciplinary chest conference, lung cancer screening program and the TAVR program.
Schmidt received his undergraduate degree in Preprofessional Studies and Theology from the University of Notre Dame and obtained his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine.
Schmidt continued at Emory University School of Medicine where he completed residencies in General Surgery and served as a Cardiothoracic Research Fellow. From there, Schmidt completed a residency in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine.
Dr. Christopher D. Stone
Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgeon
Dr. Stone, MD is a practicing Thoracic & Cardiac Surgeon in Largo, FL. He completed a residency at Johns Hopkins Health System. Dr. Stone also specializes in Surgery, Thoracic Surgery (Cardiothoracic Vascular), and Vascular Surgery. He currently practices at Cardiac Surgical Associates of Largo and is affiliated with Largo Medical Center 14th St SW and Largo Medical Center Indian Rocks Rd.
Dr. Stone accepts multiple insurance plans including Aetna, SIHO Insurance Services, and Medicare. Dr. Stone is board certified in Surgery; Thoracic & Cardiac Surgery.
Dr. Clyde R. Redmond
Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgeon
Clyde Redmond, M.D., is a board-certified cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon with more than 20 years of experience. He joined the Northwest Heart and Vascular Institute in Springdale in 2018.
Dr. Redmond completed his medical education and a residency at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He then completed a fellowship in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at Ochsner Clinic, also in New Orleans.
His skills and interests include treatment of coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, vascular surgery, esophageal cancer, lung cancer and vascular conditions including aneurysms and carotid artery disease.
